Tamil Nadu Service Commission (TNPSC)  has released an official notification inviting online applications for the recruitment of 5566 various Group IV vacancies. There are 3469 openings for Junior Assistant (Non-security), 1738 openings for typists, 242 positions for Stenographer (grade III), 62 openings for junior assistants (security) , 19 positions for bill collector, 30 openings for draftsman and 6 posts for field surveyor.

Eligibility Criteria :

Age Limit:- Individuals who fall in the age group of 18 years to 30 years can apply for above mentioned posts. Age will be calculated as on 1st July 2015. Schedule Caste (SC) /Schedule Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates can claim age relaxation as per government of India norms.

Educational Qualification:-  All candidates should have cleared their matriculation. They should be eligible for seeking admission in higher secondary schools or universities.

Application fees :- Applicants need to pay application fee of Rs 125. Fees can be paid via debit card/ credit card or net banking. Applicants can also use offline mode for fee payment. In offline mode, you will need to make cash payment through fee challan in any branch of Indian Bank or in any post office. Rs 125 is a combination of Rs 75 for exam fee and Rs 50 for registration fee. Candidates who already have an user id and password need not pay the registration fee of Rs 50. Registration id is valid for five years from the date of registration. It is important to note this registration number and password for future reference.  All candidates are required to take the print of the online application for future reference.

Selection Procedure:- Candidates will be selected basis of competitive written examination and oral test. Written examination will be of multiple choice questions. It will assess candidates knowledge about language, communication, current affairs and their relevant trade. Candidates clearing the written examination will be called for oral test. Consolidated marks of written examination and Oral test will be used for final selection.
